Our take

A steamy Spanish teen romance sequel where college and new relationships test Noah and Nick's bond. Frequent strong language, explicit sexual situations, drinking and tense driving and kidnapping references from the prior story. Adult-skewing melodrama, not middle-school romance. Best for mature older teens already watching the series.

Uplifting themes

Commitment and forgiveness appear, though passion often overrides healthy boundaries The leads are charismatic but often impulsive, secretive and manipulative

Story (may spoil tone)

The love between Noah and Nick seems unwavering despite their parents' attempts to separate them. But his job and her entry into college open up their lives to new relationships that will shake the foundations of both their relationship and the Leister family itself.
