Our take

Wile E. Coyote sues Acme over the gadgets that keep backfiring on him. There are crashes, explosions and squashed cartoon characters, with injuries that reset. The language is occasional rather than constant, and includes words such as 'damn,' 'hell' and 'p-word.' There is also a small pants-down joke and an 'XXX' liquor-bottle gag.

Uplifting themes

Persistence after failure, loyalty, and standing up to a powerful company even when the odds look bad The underdog lawyer and Coyote keep trying and work as a team, even when their plans explode A light introduction to court, lawsuits and unsafe products, wrapped in comedy

Story (may spoil tone)

After Acme products fail him one too many times in his dogged pursuit of the Roadrunner, Wile E. Coyote decides to hire a billboard lawyer to sue the Acme Corporation.

Talk after watching

  • Cartoon stunts look huge. Why would copying them in real life be dangerous?
  • Coyote keeps failing and still tries. What do you do after you fail?
