Our take

Karuppu is a Tamil legal action drama about a guardian deity who poses as a lawyer to fight corruption. Courtroom and street violence, guns, murder plots, sexual-assault case references and supernatural possession scenes all feature, along with mild hell and damn language. A child's life is endangered in one thread. The long runtime and dense legal themes suit teens who can follow subtitles and handle serious crime topics.

Uplifting themes

Fighting corruption and standing up for the powerless are what anchor the story Karuppu models courage and accountability while pushing back against a rigged system Courtroom procedure and Indian legal references still offer teachable moments
