Our take

Muzzle: City of Wolves is an MA 15+ LAPD action thriller about Officer Jake Rosser and K-9 partner Argos, hunted by a cartel after a brutal attack on his family. Gunfire, car bombs, kidnapping threats, fentanyl dialogue, sexual-assault references, suicide talk and near-constant f-word profanity all land hard. A police dog is killed in the backstory. Strictly for mature older teens and adults; the dog-hero angle does not soften the content.

Uplifting themes

Protecting family drives Jake, though the revenge tone crowds out much uplift Jake clearly loves his family and dog, yet he breaks rules recklessly
