Our take

Magical tequila shots let Minnie rewind New Year's Eve 1999 in this time-loop comedy. Heavy drinking, frequent strong profanity, crude humor, and party recklessness play for laughs as the night resets again and again. The same messy party energy keeps coming back. ClearAge puts it around 16 for adults and mature older teens.

Uplifting themes

Owning her choices and dropping the chase for a perfect countdown is what the loops push Minnie toward. Friendship and regret end up mattering more than looking cool at the party Eventually Minnie tries to take responsibility for herself instead of resetting the night forever. Through most of the party mess, clean mentor figures are scarce

Story (may spoil tone)

New Years Eve. 1999. Minnie discovers a bottle of time travelling tequila. Each shot takes her back to the start of the night - giving her a bottle’s worth of shots to win back her old flame Joe, and change the course of her millennium.

  • Repeating the same night reveals patterns. What would you change if time looped?
  • Party culture mixes fun with excess. Where do characters cross lines?
