Wade Wilson is still the foul-mouthed antihero, recruiting a ragtag team while a time-traveling soldier hunts a kid with dangerous powers. The humour is filthy, the f-word never quits, and the violence is comic but often gory, with corpses and brutal fights played for laughs. Grief and a dark stretch of self-destructive behaviour sit under the jokes, and a boy in an orphanage is mistreated and hunted. Keep this for older teens around 17 and up, preferably with a parent who already knows the Deadpool tone
Uplifting themes
Under the chaos sits a push to protect a child, own your mistakes, and build a messy found family. Doing the right thing gets praised even when Wade fights the idea. Heart peeks through the blood and swearing Wade is selfish, violent, and foul, yet he edges toward care for a kid who needs an adult in his corner. Teammates show loyalty in crooked ways. Models are imperfect on purpose, so talk about what to copy and what to leave
Story (may spoil tone)
Wisecracking mercenary Deadpool battles the evil and powerful Cable and other bad guys to save a boy's life.

Mercenary shootouts, stabbings, explosions, and super-powered brawls run almost nonstop. Characters are killed in inventive, jokey ways, including fire and heavy weapons. The tone is cartoonish, yet the hit rate is high and adults die on screen

Wall-to-wall swearing, mostly the f-word, plus motherf-word, s-word, c-word, and a-word stacked into nearly every scene. Insults are creative and constant. Homes that dodge strong language should skip this one

Crude sex talk is thick: porn jokes, birth-control gags, sex-toy digs, and lots of bedroom innuendo. There is kissing and sexual banter with a partner, but the film stays short of explicit sex scenes. The humour is adult and smutty

Characters order vodka and mention wine in passing, and a babysitter is joked about being high. Drinking is background colour in a chaotic adult world. Nothing is treated as a how-to

A hunted boy, a hulking inmate nicknamed a monster, and sudden brutal deaths keep a nasty edge under the gags. Grief scenes turn bleak before the jokes snap back. Younger teens can find the orphanage and chase sequences upsetting

After a devastating loss, Wade tries repeatedly to end his life in darkly comic set-pieces, frustrated that he cannot stay dead. The attempts are shown, then undercut with jokes. Still a hard topic for anyone raw around suicide

One throwaway joke mentions a rape whistle. There is no assault scene, only that crude line. Easy to miss, yet parents who track that language will notice. Romance is hinted at. Nothing is shown beyond that

A mutant boy is mistreated in care, restrained, and hunted by adults who want him dead or controlled. He is frightened, angry, and in real danger for long stretches. That child-in-jeopardy thread is central, not a quick scare

Mutant kids are locked away and mocked, and characters toss around racist insults as punchlines. Prejudice is part of the orphanage world and the banter. It is ugly texture more than a careful lesson
Gore / death / weapons Blood hits faces, corpses burn, and weapons from guns to blades show up…
Blood hits faces, corpses burn, and weapons from guns to blades show up constantly. Deaths are frequent and sometimes lingered on for a gag, including talk of a smoldering body. Comic framing does not erase the gore

Wade spirals after loss into rage, numbness, and reckless choices that read as a broken mental state. The film jokes about it, yet the depression under the mask is clear. Useful if you want to talk about grief and anger

A partner's death opens the film and fuels Wade's fury and despair for a long stretch. Friends talk about stages of grief while he refuses to cope. The jokes never fully cancel how raw that loss feels

Talk after watching
- Wade wants to protect a kid but keeps breaking every rule. What does responsible care look like when someone is angry and grieving?
- The film jokes about pain and loss constantly. How can humour help, and when does it hide something harder to talk about?
