Our take

An M superhero action comedy about Eddie and Venom on the run from hunters and a deadly creature. Symbiote fights, blood mist, jumpy monster set pieces and frequent profanity share the screen with tequila-fueled party scenes. The tone stays jokey rather than grim, but the body count and language push it past younger kids. Best for teens who already follow the Venom series.

Uplifting themes

Partnership and sacrifice themes run through the Eddie-Venom bond Eddie keeps trying to protect innocents despite his outlaw status

Story (may spoil tone)

Eddie and Venom are on the run. Hunted by both of their worlds and with the net closing in, the duo are forced into a devastating decision that will bring the curtains down on Venom and Eddie's last dance.
