Xavier's school comes under attack as a military hardliner pushes a plan to wipe out mutants, forcing uneasy alliances and bigger battles. There is a brutal White House assault, a night raid on sleeping students, claws, guns, and talk of killing on both sides. Swearing stays at hell, damn, and a few s-words. We put it at M with a parent because the school raid and anti-mutant hatred hit harder than the first film's cleaner adventure
Uplifting themes
Protecting kids, choosing cooperation over revenge, and standing up when your own community is hated come through strongly. Former enemies share a goal when genocide is on the table. It is one of the clearer moral cores in the series Storm, Jean, and Logan put the students first even when the odds look ugly. Xavier keeps preaching dignity under pressure. They are imperfect adults who still model courage and care
Story (may spoil tone)
Professor Charles Xavier and his team of genetically gifted superheroes face a rising tide of anti-mutant sentiment led by Col. William Stryker. Storm, Wolverine and Jean Grey must join Magneto and Mystique to unhinge Stryker's scheme to exterminate all mutants.

Nightcrawler's White House attack opens with stabbing and chaos, then soldiers raid the school with guns drawn. Claws, energy blasts, and big set-piece fights keep rolling to the frozen lake climax. Impact is strong, blood remains limited

Hell and damn pop up in fights and frustration, with a couple of s-words for emphasis. It is mild for a teen action film. Nothing approaches frequent strong language

Mystique again spends stretches in her blue form with little covering, which reads as nudity to many parents. There is light flirt talk and a kiss or two in the adult romance subplot. No sex scenes

Logan smokes despite Xavier's disapproval, and someone offers another beer in a low-key scene. It is casual adult habit, not a party focus. Kids at the school are not involved

Nightcrawler moving through shadows can spook younger viewers, and the school raid at night feels invasive. Lab experiments and a machine meant to wipe out mutants add cold dread. The film stays tense more often than playful

Students at the school, including teens, are dragged from their beds during an armed raid. Several kids are held and used as leverage in the wider plot. The peril is on screen and sustained through the middle of the film

Anti-mutant hatred drives the villain and spills into living rooms, including a painful family rejection scene. Mutants are framed as a disease to erase. Prejudice is not background colour; it is the engine of the story

Knives, claws, and firearms are everywhere, and a few fights leave people clearly hurt. Blood is still sparse and wounds are not studied in close-up. Death is part of the stakes without graphic autopsy detail

The closing stretch leaves the team mourning someone they love after a hard fight. That sadness sits quietly once the noise dies down. Viewers who bond with the cast may want a minute afterward

Talk after watching
- Bobby's parents struggle to accept who he is. How can families talk about love when someone they know comes out as different?
- The X-Men team up with old enemies to stop a worse threat. When is working with someone you distrust still the right call?
