The Bourne Supremacy pulls a former operative back into a world of shootings, brutal fights, and a long car chase. Blood is limited, but the realistic action, an upsetting death, and Bourne's guilt give the film a serious feel. One strong swear word appears among milder language. We put it at around 14 and up.
Uplifting themes
Underneath the action is a story about owning past harm and trying to make amends. Bourne's search for accountability gives the film a conscience the chases alone would not He is lethal and guarded, yet he shows remorse and tries to set something right. That mix of skill and regret is more thoughtful than the usual action hero
