Our take

An M legal drama about a juror facing a moral dilemma during a murder trial. Homicide testimony, a drunk-party backstory, mild to moderate profanity and a street-racing mention all appear. Clint Eastwood directs a talky ethical thriller without graphic gore. Best for teens ready for jury-duty ethics and adult consequences.

Uplifting themes

Integrity, civic duty and doing the right thing under pressure sit at the film's core Jurors wrestle with honesty even when it costs them. Moral struggle is the point rather than easy virtue

Story (may spoil tone)

While serving as a juror in a high profile murder trial, family man Justin Kemp finds himself struggling with a serious moral dilemma…one he could use to sway the jury verdict and potentially convict—or free—the accused killer.
