Our take

Golden Kamuy: The Abashiri Prison Raid is a Japanese action film continuing the manga saga of tattooed gold hunters and a prison siege. Frequent gunfire, stabbing threats, blood references and dialogue about Ainu killings and betrayal fill much of the runtime. Mild to moderate profanity and brief sexual references sit alongside gambling-den plot threads. Best for older teens already familiar with the series; the 124-minute runtime and colonial-era violence are a lot for younger kids.
