Museum curator Mara keeps waking into the same awful day in this time-loop rom-com. Along the way you get hell and damn language, drunk scenes, romantic-music cues, and the anxiety of a nightmare that will not end. Speculative comedy keeps the surface light. Adult relationship themes underneath make it a better fit for teens and up.
Uplifting themes
By the end Mesa is forced to notice someone else's suffering, past her own ruined engagement. The moral landing is uneven. Looking outward is still what the story reaches for Mesa starts spoiled and oblivious as a curator, and only gradually tries to help. The growth is genuine. It just arrives late, so she remains a work in progress
Story (may spoil tone)
Trapped in a time loop, a picture-perfect museum curator relives her worst day ever and must figure out how to break free from the vicious cycle.

Deep into the loop, Mesa witnesses a woman being abused by a violent boyfriend on the street. Domestic violence pulls the comedy into darker water. The film refuses to treat that moment like a gag

Hell and damn cover most of the early frustration. Later, in a heated stretch, the s-word, b-word, and the f-word land more than once. Those swear bursts are sharp and adult, then they ease off again

Kissing and shared-bed scenes are on screen, and Mesa admits she slept with someone during the loop. Romance and sex talk are easy to catch. Explicit sex is never put on display

Friends tell Mesa she is already too drunk and try to get her to sleep it off. Excess drinking is baked into the worst-day mess. Quiet background sipping would not describe it

A day that will not end already feels uneasy even while jokes land. Street abuse and crisis beats later push the weight up. Sensitive teens may feel that change in the room

Mesa helps discover and interrupt a suicide crisis involving a domestic-abuse victim. The film handles that turn with real seriousness. Give younger teens a heads-up before the tone drops

Panic, shame, and short-fuse stress stack up on Mesa as the same disaster day repeats, even while jokes keep coming. Her anxiety begins funny. It hardens once she starts seeing other people's pain

Talk after watching
- Repeating the same day forces Mara to reflect. What would you change first?
- Perfect-on-the-outside lives can hide stress. Where did you see that?
