Our take
Rebel Ridge is a tense thriller about a former Marine whose cash is taken by local police when he tries to post bail. You get frequent f-word language, rifles, a stabbing, weed talk, and a kidnapping beat. "Suicide by cop" is named as a police category, not a how-to. Older teens and adults
Story (may spoil tone)
A former Marine confronts corruption in a small town when local law enforcement unjustly seizes the bag of cash he needs to post his cousin's bail.
