Ocean's Eleven follows a newly paroled thief assembling a crew to rob Las Vegas casinos. The pleasure is in the planning and banter, but gambling fills the setting and the criminals are made appealing. There is some strong language, social drinking, and guns with little blood. We put it at around M and up, with a conversation about the film's glamorous treatment of theft if needed.
Uplifting themes
The crew only works if everyone does their bit, and loyalty among the eleven is the heartbeat. It is still a story that cheers a huge theft. Talk about charm versus honesty after Danny is loyal to his friends and still a career thief who treats crime as a game. Tess has more backbone than the men around her. Cool is the point, not good choices You pick up a little about casino security, cameras, and why vaults hold so much cash. It is wrapped in a wish-fulfilment robbery. Curious teens may want the real ethics afterwards
Story (may spoil tone)
Less than 24 hours into his parole, charismatic thief Danny Ocean is already rolling out his next plan: In one night, Danny's hand-picked crew of specialists will attempt to steal more than $150 million from three Las Vegas casinos. But to score the cash, Danny risks his chances of reconciling with ex-wife, Tess.

The vault sequence is tight and loud, with a countdown feeling once the crew is inside. A staged blast rattles the Strip. It is thriller tension, over fairly fast

Talk after watching
- The crew makes stealing look like teamwork and style. Where did it show the cost, if it did at all?
- Danny wants his ex-wife back while he is pulling a huge job. What did your teen think of that mix?
