DC League of Super-Pets is an animated superhero adventure about pets rescuing their kidnapped humans. Lasers, explosions, and a rocket in danger make the final stretch noisy, but injury is cartoonish and bloodless. Language is very mild, and Krypto's feeling of being left out gives children an emotional thread. We put it at around 8 and up, with a parent nearby for children sensitive to loud action.
Uplifting themes
The strays keep saying they can only win if they work together. Showing off gets them stuck. Families can talk about asking for help without the lecture feeling glued on Krypto starts selfish and learns to trust a messy shelter pack. Ace, the pig, the turtle, and the squirrel each get a useful job. They are still cartoon brawlers, not quiet classroom models Kids may ask what animal shelters actually do, which is a fair conversation after the credits. The science of powers is pure comic-book fun. Keep the learning bar low
Story (may spoil tone)
When Superman and the rest of the Justice League are kidnapped, Krypto the Super-Dog must convince a rag-tag shelter pack - Ace the hound, PB the potbellied pig, Merton the turtle and Chip the squirrel - to master their own newfound powers and help him rescue the superheroes.

Pets and villains slam through the city with super-punches, lasers, and a bomb on a rocket. It is played for laughs, and nobody is shown bleeding. The last stretch is still a long, noisy brawl

One mild word, crap, slips out in a joke about the farm. That is about as strong as the talk gets. Most of the chatter is silly animal banter between the pack

A human couple flirts in the background, and later a pig gets a little kiss. Romantic music pokes fun at it. Nothing sexual happens, and clothes stay on

The Justice League is kidnapped and a rocket is threatened, bringing loud explosions and brief peril. The playful tone and bloodless action soften the scares

The shelter pack gets talked down to as leftovers next to fancy pets. It is comic, not a long campaign of cruelty. Kids who have felt picked last may still recognise the sting

Talk after watching
- The shelter pets only get anywhere when they stop showing off. What does working together look like at your place?
- Krypto worries he is not needed anymore. How do you say you feel replaced without picking a fight?
