Bill & Ted Face the Music is a goofy PG sequel full of time jumps, rock jokes, and a comic trip through Hell. Robot guns and kill threats stay silly, and language mostly sits at damn and hell. One vodka-slow-down gag is the main drink beat. We land at 10 and up because the louder set pieces and Hell sequence ask for a bit more than a soft early-primary watch
Uplifting themes
Friendship, humility, and making music that brings people together still sit at the centre. Failing loudly is treated as part of growing up, even in middle age Bill and Ted stay kind under pressure, and their daughters show initiative when the plan stalls. Caring for family beats chasing fame alone
Story (may spoil tone)
Yet to fulfill their rock and roll destiny, the stakes are higher than ever for the now middle-aged Bill and Ted who set out on a new adventure when a visitor from the future warns them that only their song can save life as we know it.

Robot assassins, gun clicks, and talk of killing Bill and Ted stay firmly in comedy mode. Nobody treats the danger as gritty, bloody, or meant to unsettle for long

Damn and hell pop up when plans fall apart and again in the literal Hell sequence. Stronger swearing is not part of this cheerful cut of the sequel

A friend tells Ted to slow down on the vodka during a rough patch at home with the band. Drinking is a quick joke beat, not a binge or party montage

Creature screeches and a comic Hell visit bring demons and weird visuals into the middle. The scares play for laughs more than for lasting dread afterward

- Their daughters step up when the guys feel stuck. How do you share responsibility when adults lose the plot?
