Why our age differs

Official is MA 15+. We say 16+ because body-horror possession and spirit attacks stay nastier than many strong-impact thrillers

Our take

Death Whisperer 2 (Tee Yod 2) is a Thai ghost sequel built on revenge, possession, and jump-scare dread. Yak hunts a spirit that eats people from the inside, and scenes lean into guts talk, family bodies taken over, and night chases. Strong language is frequent in the English subs, including the f-word and motherf-word. We land at 16 and up because graphic spirit horror and relentless fear push past a standard strong thriller

Uplifting themes

Family loyalty flickers under the scares. Most of the film still chooses dread and payback over repair Yak's love for his sister is real, yet revenge consumes his judgment. Parents will find more warning than model behaviour

Story (may spoil tone)

Three years after his sister's death, Yak relentlessly searches for the dark spirit that killed her in hopes of seeking revenge.

Yak's hunt starts from his sister's death and widens as more family members fall. Grief and rage braid together until revenge is almost the only language left

Talk after watching

  • Revenge keeps Yak in the hunt long after the first loss. When does seeking justice start hurting the people still alive?
  • Family members become vessels for the spirit. How would you talk about fear of losing someone you love to something you cannot see?
