Our take
A low-budget action horror sequel where a supermoon reactivates a werewolf plague. Military-style gunfights against transformed creatures, apocalyptic body counts referenced in dialogue and frequent harsh language all feature. Gore and jump-scare intensity stay moderate for the genre. Best for older teens who enjoy creature-shooter B-movies.
Uplifting themes
Survival teamwork appears, but creature combat spectacle stays the focus Soldiers show bravery, yet character depth takes a back seat to the action
Story (may spoil tone)
A year after a supermoon’s light activated a dormant gene, transforming humans into bloodthirsty werewolves and causing nearly a billion deaths, the nightmare resurfaces as the supermoon rises again. Two scientists attempt to stop the mutation but fail and must now struggle to reach one of their family homes.
